Arabiyat Promises A Great Revival In The Jordanian Tourism Sector

Abdul Razzak Arabiyat, chairman of the Jordanian Tourism Promotion Authority, said that tourism revenue in 2018 is estimated at 5.4 billion dollars, up 14 percent from 2017.
In an interview with Al Arabiya, Arabiyat said that the Jordanian tourism sector has benefited greatly from the entry of economic operators such as Ryanair and EasyJet to Jordan, which contributed to the targeting of new tourist groups.
He pointed out that 18 new direct lines to Jordan belonging to the company "Ryanair" have been operated, and the agreement with EasyJet to operate new lines to Jordan.
Arabiyat said that some Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, continued to be key markets for the Jordanian tourism sector, with a marked increase for tourists from Europe and Russia.
He pointed out that the Tourism Development Authority in Jordan has changed the strategy of marketing by supporting aircraft, and hosting influential social networking sites from different countries, marketing through videos on tourism in Jordan, and the results were very positive.
